Thanks for all the feedback, especially for reporting all those nasty bugs :)

I will continue to improve the demo, while working on the other 4 planets that you will visit in the full version.

Changelog:

  • increased quality of many textures
    added lots of quests descriptions (so that player should always have at least a rough direction where to go)
    tutorials: now indicate how often an action must be done (e.g. "Dodge towards any direction (0/3)" )
  • tutorials: questlog tutorial is now shown in 2nd room, to help players find their way immediately
  • map: better readability of icons, especially map icons
  • map: houses now have their own icons
  • map: more positions have a specific name (instead of only "Entrance")
  • Katana Upgrade UI: added players' current spice and machine parts count
  • added "Prologue" and "Chapter 1" UI
  • AI bugfix: NPCs, enemies (in cut scenes, even the player) sometimes stopped rotating towards their target
  • AI bugfix: NPCs stopped doing anything if the player left the room and re-entered it
  • Obelisk bugfix: when the player left the room and re-entered, the Obelisk had no "draining enemies" anymore, therefore could be instantly finished
  • Obelisk bugfix: it could happen that there were no "drainage energy rays" at all, indicating which enemies to fight
  • bugfix: "new quest UI" sometimes was hidden too fast (interference with other UI)
